• Coach-Of-The-Week: Adrien Lafortune

One day I just decided to make a change. I quit my job, left England and decided to do the things that I like to do. I traveled around Europe for a bit and decided to move to Canada last year.

    Fit Coach Adrien Lafortune

I wanted to make a difference in the world. I was running track ever since I was young and had the opportunity to compete at an elite level in France, so doing sports was definitely something I would want to pursue  as a career. I’ve been working in the fitness industry for almost 3 years and being a Fit Coach is my way to make a difference by helping people lead a healthy active lifestyle. I often say to people that “Exercise and Nutrition are the best health care” and I truly believe that.

I always believe that I can learn something new from the people I interact with. Whether positive or negative it helps pave the way to where I want to be in life. When I first moved to Montreal, I worked at a gym where I could start building up my clientele and showcase my skills. That’s where I met this one guy, always smiling and upbeat, and always wearing neon workout gear: David Dahiroc, also known as D-Roc!

One day he invited me to try one of his classes. Aside from loving the high intensity training, I loved the energy the people had brought to this place regardless of their fitness level. Everyone was working out together and helping each other reach their goals. I kept coming back and every week I could see people changing, losing weight and getting ripped. I was blown away! I remember having a conversation with Mr. Sean Lewis who opened my eyes to the fact that it was not only about drinking shakes and losing weight. Athletes are also on the nutrition program in order to improve their performance. Some are teaching others how to live a sustainable healthy lifestyle. It took me a few months to get involved. Now I look back thinking I should have started earlier!

What I like about being a Fit Coach at Fitclub24 is the fact that we’re building a healthier community, striving to make a difference and teaching people how to eat properly.

Being a certified personal trainer, track & field coach and a Crossfit Level1 trainer, I can definitely help my clients get the results that they want by using the tools at Fitclub24. Being a Fit Coach is much more than just being a trainer and giving a 12-week program or a weekly diet plan. It’s more personal. You’re actually making a difference in someone’s life by helping them become the best version of themselves, physically and mentally!

It’s very humbling and inspiring to see what other Fit Coaches have achieved so far and I’m honored to be to Coach-Of-The-Week! Thank you!
